How to Use HP DVD-ROM Drive
DIsc loading slot
•
Disc loading slot: Insert a CD or DVD disc into this slot with the
label side up (or for rack-mounted servers, with the label side
facing the server module).
•
Eject button: Push to eject the disc. This will not work if the
power is off or if ejection has been disabled by configuration.
If you have eliminated these possibilities and still have
difficulty ejecting a disc, see "Emergency Eject" below.

Emergency Eject button (recessed): If the automatic Eject
button does not work although power is on and ejection is
enabled in the configuration, you may have to use this method
of disc ejection as an last resort.
Switch off power to the tower and wait 10 seconds before doing
this procedure.
Insert the emergency ejection pin (supplied in the product
package) into the access hole until the disc ejects. (If the pin is
lost, you may substitute a
use a paper clip; it is not rigid enough and may damage the
drive! Then restart the server tower.

BUSY indicator: On (green) when power is switched on.
Blinking when an inserted disc is being accessed. Off when no
disc is inserted or the disc is not being accessed, or there is a
problem (see page 10-3).
Press the Eject button to eject any disc currently in the slot. Insert
the CD or DVD disc into the slot with the label side up (or for
rack-mounted servers, with the label side facing the server module).
The BUSY LED goes on while the disc initializes; it goes off when
the disc is ready for access.
