Clean the device unit and reusable accessories with a wrung cloth dampened in any
normal dishwashing solutions.
Dry the surfaces with a clean dry cloth or air dry naturally.
Do not use silicon-based solvents, abrasive cleaners, scrubbing pads, or other abra-
sive applicators.
For disinfection use one of the following disinfectants:
– 70 % ethyl or isopropyl alcohol solution
If hepatitis or any other dangerous virus contamination is suspected use:
– aldehydes (Cidex®).
Prepare and use disinfectant as stated by the manufacturer.
Be careful not to drip water or disinfectant directly into the input and output plugs and
other openings in the cover. Keep all cleaning fluids away from electrical connectors.
Remove excess disinfectant with a dry cloth.
The disposable electrodes should be discarded after their use. The reusable elec-
trodes should be disinfected in accordance with the fixed practice.
EEG electrodes and caps should be disinfected according to their technical manuals.
4.4 Life Time
The system life time is 5 years starting from a shipment date to user.
The service life of the electrodes is 12 months from the shipping date to a customer.
The manufacturer is obliged to ensure the technical service of the system during its
life time.
