7) The chest and abdominal respiratory effort sensors (fixed on belt) or induc-
tive thoracic and abdominal respiratory effort sensors (RIP belt) can be used
to record chest and abdominal respiratory efforts (Fig. 48). The detailed in-
formation is stated in "ES-4-05, ES-4-22, ES-5-22 chest and abdominal res-
piratory effort sensors" or "IES-1-05, IES-1-22 Inductive Thoracic and Ab-
dominal Respiratory Effort Sensors" technical manual).

8) Place the body position sensor on the belt (Fig. 49) (the belt for the chest
respiratory effort sensor is used more often). The arrow on the sensor should
be visible and pointed upwards. Connect the sensor to the electronic unit in
accordance with the exam montage.
