Neuron-Spectrum-61, 62, 63, 64, 65 (Technical Manual)
Fig. 1. Block diagram of the system electronic units for Neuron-Spectrum-61, Neuron-Spectrum-62,
Neuron-Spectrum-63, Neuron-Spectrum-64, Neuron-Spectrum-65.
Biopotentials from patients are amplified, digitized by means of ADC (AD converter)
and, under the control of the processor unit PU1; they are transmitted to USB proces-
sor through the digital isolator.
The processor unit PU1 controls the modes of measurement, impedance measure-
ment, internal diagnostics and also controls the LEDs for impedance display.
The amplifiers are powered via electrically isolated DC converter (DCC, DCC1).
The duration and frequency of photic stimulator are controlled by USB processor. It
also transfers commands to pattern-stimulator and controls trig-in and trig-out unit.
All the processors receive commands and transmit data through USB processor which
forms data packets to transmit them to PC and deciphers data transmitted from com-
puter to control the modules.
The signal processing, displaying and presentation in different modes after mathemat-
ical analysis, then storing of the EEG traces on the hard disc, exam report generation
and printing is done with the use of installed software.
