3.2.4 Cerebral Function Monitoring
The systems can be used to record, save and analyze an amplitude-integrated EEG.
The detailed information about performing CFM is described in the "Cerebral Function
Monitoring" guidelines included in the delivery set. To perform CFM make the follow-
ing the steps:
1. Prepare a patient's skin and position the required electrodes (see "Neuromonitor.
Electrode Placement Tips").
2. Check the electrode placement quality and perform the signal monitoring and ac-
quisition in accordance with section 3.2.1.
If CFM is performed, the user can monitor the skin-electrode impedance and elec-
trode placement quality. In the Neuron-Spectrum.NET software all obtained traces are
highlighted with different colors depending on the impedance quality: green – good
impedance, yellow – satisfactory impedance, red – poor impedance. If impedance is
poor, the software shall warn you about it by generating auditory and visual notifica-
tions
(red

3. Complete the acquisition, remove electrodes and sensors from the patient, per-
form the analysis of obtained results (Fig. 54), generate and print an exam report
(if necessary), and switch off the device in accordance with section 3.2.1.
