Neuron-Spectrum-61, 62, 63, 64, 65 (Technical Manual)
dominal respiratory effort sensors or inductive thoracic and abdominal respiratory ef-
fort sensors (RIP belts)), oxygen saturation, photoplethysmogram and pulse rate (us-
ing a SpO
sensor), snoring data (using a snoring sensor or a cannula) and data on a
2
patient's body position (using a body position sensor). The recording of biological sig-
nals can be performed simultaneously with video and audio data using up to three
cameras.
The Neuron-Spectrum-62, Neuron-Spectrum-63, Neuron-Spectrum-64, Neuron-
Spectrum-65 systems ensure recording of PSG with all electrodes and sensors posi-
tioned in compliance with recommendations of American Academy of Sleep Medicine
(AASM). The recommended electrodes and sensors as well as their positioning are
described in AASM Manual for the Scoring of Sleep and Associated Events (version
2.5 dated April, 2018). In compliance with this manual the following signals shall be
recorded:
EEG through 6 channels;
EOG through 2 channels;
Chin EMG through 2 channels;
ECG through 1 channel;
Leg EMG through 2 channels;
The oronasal flow from the airflow thermistor sensor (to identify apnea during
a diagnostic PSG exam);
The nasal flow from the cannula connected with the differential pressure sensor (to
identify hypopnea during a diagnostic PSG exam) or PAP device flow during PAP ti-
tration (to identify apneas and hypopneas);
Respiratory effort of the thorax;
Respiratory effort of the abdomen;
Oxygen saturation;
Snoring;
Body position.
Neuron-Spectrum-65 has additional DC channels that can be connected with breath-
ing therapy equipment during PAP titration. Neuron-Spectrum-65 allows users to rec-
ord airflow, PAP pressure (IPAP pressure/EPAP pressure), leakage, tidal volume,
respiratory rate and other additional information via PAP communicator.
If Neuron-Spectrum-61 is used, some of the mentioned PSG parameters can be rec-
orded depending on the number of channels for electrodes and sensors and also the
needs of particular users; CRM studies can be performed as well.
