Obtain
the necessary
connecting
cords,

your local Aiwa dealer for optional
equipment.
This unit can input analog
sound signals
through
these jacks.
Use a. cable with RCA phono plugs to connect
audio equipment
(turntables,
LD players,
MD players,
VCRs, TV, etc.).
Connect
"the red plug to the R jack, and the white plug to the L
jack.
When connecting
a turntable
Use an Aiwaturntable
equipped
with a built-in equalizer
amplifier,
CD DIGITAL OUT (OPTICAL) JACK
This unit can output
CD digital sound signals
through
this jack.
Use an optical
ci~ble
to connect
digital
audio equipment
(digital
amplifier,
DAT deck, MD recorder,
etc.).
Remove the dust cap @ from CD DIGITAL OUT (OPTICAL)
jack,
Then:
connect
an optical
cable
plug
to CD DIGITAL
OUT
(OPTiCAL)
jack.
When CD DIGITAL OUT (OPTICAL) jack is not being used
Attach the supplied
dust cap,
This unit can input digital sound signals
through
this jack.

frequency
rate converter,
which

rates that are different
from the

rate (BS/CS tuner or DAT (32 kHz or 48

speakers

8 to 16 ohms
impedance
to the jacks.

(page 26),
digital

made with this unit cannot
be recorded
again via digital
input to other digital
devices.
Digital
dubbing
of MD recordings
made with this unit from an
external
satellite/cable
receiver,
however,
may be possible
depending
on the type of the tuner being used.
