Creating Input Settings

What is a "Numeral Setting"?
Reference: When not using direct connection, the touch switch or extended I/O unit is selected
128
This section describes how to create the "numeral setting" and "character-string
setting" input fields required to input numeric values and character-strings from a
touch panel or extended I/O unit.
Once a numeral setting input field has been created, it is possible to input numeric
values from touch switches or extended I/O units.
The touch switches used to input numeric values (numeric keys) can be arranged
without restriction on the screen. See "Creating Numeric Keys" (p.136).
There are the following two types of input for numeral settings.
The thumbwheel type can only be used with the following combinations of PT mod-
el and direct connection version.
S NT20S or NT600S with Ver.5
S NT30 or NT30C with Ver.4
S NT612G or 610C with Ver.3
in accordance with the screen bit input attribute.
When not using direct connection, the correspondence between extended I/O unit
input terminals and numeric keys is fixed. Refer to the operation manual for the PT
you are using.
S Numeric keys:

electronic calculator.
S Thumbwheel:

value and the value is input in one digit units (input from an ex-
tended I/O unit is not possible). This function is only available
when using an NT20S or NT600S with Ver.5 of the direct con-
nection function, or an NT30, NT30C, NT612G, or NT610C
