GE Healthcare products have unit serial numbers with coded logic.
which indicates a product group code, the year of manufacture, and a
sequential unit number for identification. The serial number can be in one of
two formats.
MEYYMM1111
The YY represents a number indicating the year the product was
manufactured; 10 = 2010, 11 = 2011, etc.
The MM represents a number indicating the month the product was
manufactured; 01 = Jan, 02 = Feb, etc.
