STOPPING THE ENGINE

NOTICE
• After stopping the engine,
be sure to turn OFF the
ignition switch or power
switch before turning OFF
the battery switch. If the
battery switch is turned OFF
while the ignition switch or
power switch is ON, the
buzzer will sound three times
briefly.

Emergency Engine Stopping

EMERGENCY STOP SWITCH CLIP

SWITCH LANYARD
To stop the engine in an
emergency, pull the emergency
stop switch clip out of the
emergency stop switch by pulling
the emergency stop switch
lanyard.
If the emergency stop switch is
activated while the engine is
running, the engine will shut
down abruptly and the boat will
quickly decelerate, potentially
causing occupants and objects to
be thrown forward and/or
overboard.
If the emergency stop switch is
activated, the emergency stop
switch clip must be reinserted
before the engine can be
restarted.
We suggest that you stop the
engine this way occasionally to
verify that the emergency stop
switch is operating properly.
