NOTICE
• Be careful not to spray water
into the air intakes and the
exhaust port. If water
penetrates inside the engine
cover from the air intakes
and the exhaust port, it may
cause malfunction.
Flushing With a Garden Hose
(commercially available)
NOTICE
• Do not run the engine when
flushing the outboard motor
with a garden hose or the
outboard motor may be
damaged.
For safety, remove the
emergency stop switch clip so the
engine cannot be started while
you are standing near the
propeller.
1. Tilt down the outboard motor.
2. Clean and wash the outside of
the outboard motor with fresh
water.

FLUSH PORT CONNECTOR
3. Disconnect the flush port
connector.
