SERVICING YOUR OUTBOARD MOTOR
Inspection and Cleaning
SIDE ELECTRODE
0.039 – 0.043 in
(1.0 – 1.1 mm)
SEALING WASHER
INSULATOR
Measure the spark plug electrode
gap with a wire-type feeler
gauge.
Correct the gap, if necessary, by
carefully bending the side
electrode.
The gap should be:
0.039 – 0.043 in (1.0 – 1.1 mm)

REFUELING

If you do not anticipate cycling
through at least one complete
tank of fuel within a 30 day
period, we recommend adding
Honda Marine Fuel Stabilizer
each time you refuel.
Check the fuel level and refill it if
necessary. Do not fill the fuel tank
above the UPPER LIMIT. Refer to
the boat manufacturer's
instructions.
WARNING
Gasoline is highly flammable
and explosive.
You can be burned or seriously
injured when handling fuel.
Stop the engine and let it
cool before handling fuel.
Keep heat, sparks, and flame
away.
Handle fuel only outdoors.
Keep away from your
vehicle.
Wipe up spills immediately.
