4. Remove the drive carrier:
a) Remove the black retention clip that is directly next to the release latch by firmly grasping it and pulling straight out.
b) Press the release latch and remove the drive carrier from the chassis bay. (Use firm, steady pressure.)
5. Prepare and insert the replacement drive carrier:
a) In the replacement drive carrier, first remove the black retention clip that is directly to the right of the release latch.
Then remove and discard the two empty SSD drive sleds.
b) With the carrier handle open, carefully slide the replacement carrier into the empty chassis bay and close the carrier
handle to lock the carrier in place.
6. Insert the SSD drives (A and B), one at a time, into the replacement drive carrier.
a) With the sled handle open, carefully slide the first SSD drive sled (B, bottom) into the bottom drive bay (B) of the new
drive carrier, and close the sled handle.
b) Repeat step a) for the second SSD drive sled (A, top) to insert it into the top drive bay (A).
7. Secure the bezel to the front of the chassis.
Hold the bezel in place and then firmly press the bezel until you feel the keepers lock.
8. Return the failed drive carrier as directed on the RMA work order.

Controller Maintenance

You can replace the following components on a controller:
Network interface card (NIC)
Fibre Channel (FC) host bus adapter (HBA)
Note: If any non-replaceable component on a controller fails, replace the entire controller.
