• In the AUTO mode , the low beams are turned off when the igni -
tion is turned off . The remain ing lights are t urned off when the key
is t aken out of the ignit ion lock .
• Do not attach stickers to the windshie ld in front of the sensors as
this can disable the automatic head- and tail light control and the
automatic glare -dimming of the rearview mirror(s). •

The coming home/leaving home function is controlled by light
sensors located in the inside mirror mo unt . The system is activated
if all of the conditions below are fu lfi lled:
• The window in the switch ® illuminates .
• The driving lights and the ignition have been sw itched off .
• The vehicle is parked in po or light or darkness wi t h the sensors
detecting little or no light at all.
• The leaving home f unction in the menu display is activa t ed

C oming home s ituation
When it is dark and the system is activated, the low beams and rear
l ights, the eng ine compartment lights* and the license plate lights
are switched on as soon as the driver's door is op ened.
As long as one of the doo rs or the fr o nt lid remains open, the set of
external lights wi ll keep burning for about four minutes maximum .
To provide ligh t for departure , the set of vehicle lights will keep
burning for about another 30 seconds after all doors and t he front
lid have been c losed .
The time u ntil t he lights are swi t ched off can be adjusted. Have t he
adjus t ment done by your authorized Audi dealer or a qualified work -
shop .

If the leaving home function is activated in the menu disp lay, the
low beams and rear lights, the engine compartment lights * and the
l icense plat e light s are swi t ched on when t he vehicle is unlocked
with the

but ton on the remote key=> page 26.
Opening the driver's door switches off the low beams and the
engine compartment lights *. If t he driver's door is not opened, the
low beams and the engine compartment lights * switch off wh en the
v ehic le is aut omat ically locked again => page 44. .,
