- Tur n the lig ht switch t o 0.
The headlights on ly work when the ignition is switched on. Whi le
starting the engine or when switching off the ignition, the head -
lights will go off a nd on ly the side marker lights wi ll rema in lit.
If the rotary light switch is in the O or AUTO position, the daytime
running lights are turned on when the ignition is switched on if they
were activated via the menu display

WARNING
Crashes can happen w hen you cannot see the road ahead and
when you cannot be seen by other motor ists .
Alway s turn on the headlight s so that you can see ahead and
so that others can see your car from the back.
Never use daytime running light s to see whe re you are going.
They are not bright enough and will not let you see far enough
ahead for safety, especially at dusk or when it is dark . Be aware of
changes in outside light condit ions when you are driving and
respond by swi t ching on your low beams

Tips
If you remove the ignition from the ignition lock while the head -
l ights are still on, a buzzer will sound as long as the driver's door is
open to remind you to switch off the lights .
Always observe the specific local regulations for your area when
to use your lights .
In coo l o r damp weather conditio ns the headlights may fog over
temporar ily on the inside .
- The critical fac t or is the temperature difference between t he
interior and the exterior of the headlight lens.
- With the main beams switched on, the light -emitting area will
be free of condensation after a short time, however the edges of
the g lass may st ill be fogged.
- This physica l phenomenon has no effect on the life of your
veh icle's lighting system .
