turned on, the door and front lid warning appears in the instrume nt

Description
The anti-theft alarm triggers an alarm if anyone attempts
to break int o the vehicle.

The anti -theft alarm system triggers an audible alarm and turns on
the emergency flasher if an unauthor ized interference with the
vehicle is sensed by the system.

is the ant i-theft
alarm

The anti-theft alarm system is switched on when you lock the
driver's door manually using the fo ld-out key, or when you use the
remote control. The system is activated approximate ly 30 seconds
after the vehicle is locked. The indicator light => fig. 39 starts
fl ashin g rap id ly for 30 seconds and then b links slowly.
How
is the anti -theft
alarm
system
switched
off ?
The anti-theft alarm system is switched off only when you use the
remote contro l to unlock your veh icle. If you do not open a door
within 30 seconds after you have unlocked with the remote control,
the vehicle will lock itself again automatically.
If you lock just the drive r's door using your key, the front
passenger 's door remains locked.
