Installing a 3.5-Inch Diskette Drive

In your computer, a 3.5-inch diskette drive attaches to a metal mounting
bracket. For the location of the 3.5-inch diskette drive brackets, see the
figure on page 10.
To install a 3.5-inch diskette drive
Turn off the system and unplug the power cord.

Remove the cover side panels (see page 3 for instructions), observing

the static electricity precautions on page 2.
If a drive is installed in the bracket you want to use, remove the drive:

Disconnect the power and data cables from the back of the drive.
Remove the four screws that attach the drive to the drive bracket.
Push the drive out of the chassis through the bezel.
If no drive is in the bracket, push out the EMI shield in the bracket and

remove the plastic drive bay cover on the front bezel.
Place the new drive into the drive bracket through the front bezel.
