Maintaining and Troubleshooting Your E-5200 System

Using LANDesk Client Manager

The status of your system's hardware is monitored through the hardware
management ASIC on the system board. Monitored information includes
voltage and chassis intrusion.
The features of the hardware management system can be accessed through
Intel® LANDesk® Client Manager, which provides a health indicator for
your system.
LANDesk Client Manager, a desktop management interface (DMI), is
already loaded on your Windows NT system. LANDesk Client Manager
lets you monitor your system for critical situations that may need your
attention. It also lets a system administrator remotely manage systems as
inventory, including cataloging their contents.
LANDesk Client Manager lets you:
Review inventoried hardware and software.
View component information.
Back up and restore system configuration files. Whenever you
plan to change the system configuration, you can make a backup
set. If the system no longer works correctly after changing the
configuration, you can restore the configuration using the backup
set.
Troubleshoot. Because LANDesk Client Manager lets you view
the system inventory, you can easily troubleshoot system problems.
Receive notification of system events. For example, if the system is
running low on virtual memory, LANDesk Client Manager
notifies you of the potential problem.
Transfer files to and from client workstations. This is helpful, for
example, when updating client workstation drivers.
