Refer to the chart below when this unit does not function
properly.
If the problem
you are experiencing
is not listed below
or if the instruction
below does not help, set this unit to the standby
mode, disconnect
the power
cable, and contact
the
nearest authorized
YAMAHA
dealer or service
center.
General
Problem
This unit fails
to turn
on when MAIN ZONE
ON/OFF
on the front
panel
(or POWER
on
the remote
control)
is
pressed,
or enters in
the standby
mode
soon after the power
has been turned
on.
No sound
No picture
Cause
The power cable is not connected or the
plug is not completely inserted.
The impedance setting is incorrect.
Tbe protection
circuitry
has been
activated.
Tbis unit has been exposed
to a strong
external
electric
shock (such as lighming
and strong static electricity).
Incorrect
input or output cable
connections.
The optimizer
microphone
is connected.
The input mode is set to HDMI, COAX/
OPT or ANALOG.
No appropriate input source has been
selected.
Speaker
connections
are not secure.
The front speakers
to be used have not
been selected
properly.
The volume is turned down.
The sound is muted.
The input mode is set to ANALOG while
playing a source encoded with a DTS
signal.
The signals this unit cannot reproduce (a
CD-ROM, for example) arc. being
received from
a
source
component.
The HDMI components connected to this
unit do not SUl)porlthe HDCP copy
protection standards.
Support Audio is set to Other and HDMI
audio signals are not being played back on
Ibis unit.
Conversion
is set to Off.
Video signals
in the progressive
format or
HDTV
video signals are being input.
Tbe signals input at the HDMI IN 1 or
HDMI IN 2 jack are being output at the
HDMI OUT jack.
Remedy
Connect the power cable firmly.
Set the impedance
to match your speakers.
Make sure all speaker
wire connections
on this unit
and on all speakers
are secure and that the wire for
each connection
does not touch anything
other than
its respective
connection.
Set this unit in the standby
mode, disconnect
the
power cable, plug it back in after 30 seconds and then
use it normally.
Connect
the cables properly.
If the problem
persists,
the cables may be defective.
Disconnect
the optimizer
microphone.
Set the input mode to AUTO.
Select
an appropriate
input source with INPUT,
MULTI CH INPUT or the input selector
buttons
on
the remote
control.
Secure
the
connections.
Select the front speakers
by pressing
SPEAKERS
A or B on the front panel (or by pressing
SPEAKERS
A or B on Ihe remote
control).
Turn up the volume.
Press MUTE or any operation buttons of this unit to
cancel a mute and adjust the volume.
Set the input mode to AUTO or COAX/OPT.
Play a source whose signals this unit can reproduce.
Connect HDMI components that support the HDCP
copy protection standards.
Set Support Audio to RX-V260(t in HDMI Set.
Set Conversion to On.
