After this task is completed
• Reinstall the drive cage and reconnect the required drive cables (see "Install a drive cage" on page 50 and
"Cable routing for the hot-swap drives" on page 129).
• Proceed to complete the parts replacement (see "Complete the parts replacement" on page 125).

Processor heat sink replacement (trained technician only)
Follow instructions in this section to remove or install a processor heat sink. This procedure must be
executed by a trained technician.
CAUTION:
The heat sinks and processors might be very hot. Turn off the server and wait several minutes to let
the server cool before removing the server cover.
Attention: Before reusing a heat sink, make sure you use Lenovo proven alcohol cleaning pad and thermal
grease.
