4.4.1

Mounting the LRF module with detached Laserbox

In order to mount and operate the LRF with a detached Laserbox, the mounting set with part number
914757 is required. This set contains a flexcable, a cable securing clamp, screws and washers.
Follow the steps below to detach the Laserbox:
1) The LRF module must be unplugged
2) Loosen both screws (A) with a T6 screwdriver and remove the fiber protective cover
3) Carefully remove the fiber from the holder and unroll
Warning
 The bending radius of the fiber should not be less than 5mm
 Do not kink the fiber
 Do not pull the fiber connectors
4) After the fiber has been unrolled, reattach the fiber protective cover and tighten the screws to 30 Ncm
5) Unscrew the four Laserbox mounting screws (B) using a T6 screwdriver and remove the screws
6) Carefully lift the Laserbox from the mainboard. Note that the mainboard is now loose and no longer
attached to the module bench
7) Firstly reattach the mainboard to the carrier with two 4 mm long T6 screws and washers in the front two
screw positions (D) and tighten to 30 Ncm (we also recommend that the screws are secured with Loctite
241 or similar). Please note that the mainboard must be correctly seated over the positioning collars
located on two of the module bench screw holes
8) Connect the flexcable to the rear of the mainboard making sure the cables exits to the rear
9) Attach the flexcable securing clamp using the screw positions (C) with two 6mm long screws tightened
to 30 Ncm
