LRF 6019 Integrator Manual

4.4 Mounting

The LRF Module provides 2 positioning pin holes and 3 threaded holes.
When mounting the module onto the positioning pins of the host system, the module must be aligned so
as to avoid damage to the module's positioning holes and cause misalignment of the LRF with respect to
the host system.
The three M 2.5 screws must be tightened with a torque of at least 6 Nm.
The positioning pins provided in the host system must have a diameter of Ø2h6.
Do not tilt the module during mounting.
NOTICE
The laser beam is aligned to the mechanical interface with a tolerance of ± 3 mrad. The host
system shall provide the ability to align the LRF Module to the main optical axis of the host
system with ±3 mrad.
NOTICE
The contact surface of the host system has to be conductive to provide system ground. Prevent
damage to the LRF Module by avoiding short circuits and ground loops.
NOTICE
Mechanical stress due to tolerance and thermal expansion coefficient mismatches between the
module's and application's mechanical interfaces should be avoided as much as possible. An
undefined stress could result in a misalignment of the module's transmitter and receiver channel
which will reduce the range performance.
NOTICE
Assembly personnel must be experienced in handling precision, sensitive electronic,
mechanical and optical assemblies.
NOTICE
Vibration and shock outside the specified values can destroy or shift parts inside the LRF in a
way that renders the LRF unusable.
