 Error Messages
When an error message is displayed on the monitor, try the following solutions. If there is a problem that cannot be resolved
with the following solutions, contact your PENTAX Medical service facility.
Message Displayed on

Please be prepared to replace
the lamp soon.
Please replace the lamp.
Scope is not connected.
The scope is not supported.
Please contact your PENTAX
service facility.
Check scope
connection(No**).
White balance failed!
Please retry.
Change exposure control to
Auto.
Change OE mode to Off.
Check USB memory.
Capture failed.
Check memory space(Still
image).
Check memory space(Video
image).
Check video printer.
No response from VCU.
No VCU connection.
AUX lamp ON. Check main
lamp.
Lamp cooler fan stopped.
Please contact your PENTAX
service facility.
Close profile menu.
Retry - C function. Freeze
release - F function or Frz-key
on KBD.
Meaning
It is almost time to replace the lamp.
It is time to replace the lamp cartridge. Replace the lamp.
An endoscope is not connected.
The endoscope is not compatible to
this processor.
90i series endoscope with outdated
software is connected to
this video processor.
There is a problem communicating
with the endoscope.
The white balance is abnormal.
Set the Exposure control to [MANUAL]
and adjusted the white balance of the i
series endoscope.
OE is set up except "Off" and the white
balance was performed.
Image Recording Media is not
connected or there is insufficient
space.
Saving of the still image failed.
Available space in the Image
Recording Media for saving still
images has become as low as the
value set for the disk space warning.
Available space in the Image
Recording Media for saving video
images has become as low as the
value set for the disk space warning.
USB printer is not connected.
Communication with Endonet is
abnormal.
No Endonet is connected.
The auxiliary lamp is lit.
There is a problem with lamp cooler
fan rotation.
The [i-scan profile] or [Twin mode
profile] screen is open.
Capturing an endoscope still image
failed.
Solution
Prepare to replace the lamp.
Connect an endoscope.
Connect a compatible endoscope.
Contact a PENTAX Medical service
facility.
Reconnect the endoscope.
Set the white balance again.
Change the method of Exposure control
to Auto.
Set up OE "Off" and perform white
balance.
Connect Image Recording Media with
sufficient space to the processor.
Try saving the still image again.
If problem is not resolved after the above
procedure, contact a PENTAX Medical
service facility.
Connect Image Recording Media with
sufficient space to the processor.
Connect Image Recording Media with
sufficient space to the processor.
Connect USB printer to the processor.
Connect Endonet properly.
Connect Endonet properly.
Check main lamp.
Contact a PENTAX Medical service
facility.
Close the [i-scan profile] or [Twin mode
profile] screen.
• To try capturing again:
Press the Copy button.
• To cancel capturing:
Press the Freeze button.
• When the error message does not
disappear even if the copy button and
the freeze button are pressed, please
try reconnecting the endoscope.
