SNC Installation

Connect one end of the RS-232 cable to the service port on the SNC and the other end to a service
terminal.

Start a terminal emulation session using HyperTerminal and the following settings:
•
VT100 or ANSW terminal emulation
•
19,200 Baud
•
8 data bits
•
No parity
•
One stop-bit
•
Hardware Flow Control or Xon/Xoff

Run the Ethernet cable from the network hub to the SNC.

Connect the SCSI cables to the library. An example of typical cabling for two drives connected to each
of the SCSI channels on the SNC is shown below. Both drives must have the last device on the SCSI
bus terminated, as shown.
