6.1 CALIBRATING MACHINE TO BEANS - DIALING IN 10 GRAMS - CONTINUED

4. You have accessed the Grinders submenu. There are four options in the grinder menu, they are
described in the diagram above.
5. Place an empty clean paper cup or light container on your gram scale and tare the scale.
6. Scroll (using the number 5 button) to the Grinder L test?
7. Remove the screw holding front door in place and swing the door open.
8. GRINDER LEFT TEST
8.1 Place a cup under the left grinder chute to catch the grinds. Press the ENTER button (button number
1) to activate the grinder and start the test. Run three tests and discard the coffee grounds.
8.2 Conduct a fourth test and weigh it using your gram scale.
PLEASE NOTE: Always use the fourth grinder test after each adjustment to ensure that the grounds weight is
accurate.
8.3 If the weight is not 10 grams, then scroll back (using the number 3 button) until the screen reads,
GL Sec/10Gr.
8.4 Press ENTER or button 1 to make adjustments to the grinding time of the left grinder.
8.5 Use the + and - (buttons 7 and 9) to make adjustments to the grind time. If the weight was less
than 10g increase the grind time, if the weight was more than 10 grams decrease the grind time.
PLEASE NOTE: Adjust time by small increments. Just one or two tenths of a second can greatly
affect the resulting weight.
8.6 Press ENTER (button 1) to save the changes.
8.7 Scroll forward (button 5) to the Grinder l test? again. And repeat the test as described in 8.1 to
8.6 until the grinds ground = 10 grams.
9. GRINDER RIGHT TEST (THE RIGHT GRINDER CALIBRATION IS THE SAME AS THE LEFT, HOWEVER
IT USES THE GRINDER R TEST? AND GR SEC/10G PROGRAMMING FEATURES IN THE CONFIG 1/
GRINDERS MENU)
9.1 Scroll (using the number 5 button) to the Grinder R test?
