The CPU has an integrated memory. You will find information on the memory sizes in the

technical data.
The memory is divided into the following parts:

Working memory for temporary data and parts of the user program.
n
Parametrization memory for current firmware and overlay file system with firmware
adjustments, user program and data.
n
Non-volatile memory for retentive data.

The CPU has a slot for a Yaskawa SD card. Here you can use a Yaskawa SD card as
external memory and transfer the overlay file system of the CPU to the card.

The iC9200 Series CPU has a capacitor-based mechanism to buffer the internal clock
in case of power failure for max. 28 days.

The retentive data defined during configuration are automatically saved in the non-
volatile memory in the event of a power failure.
