Connecting the microscope

P5000i probe USB connection

1 Plug the P5000i probe into a USB port from the SmartOTDR.
2 Touch the Home button
3 Launch the Microscope application
More than one application may be active on the unit (e.g. both inspection and
OTDR)
4 Connect the probe with the fiber being inspected using the appropriate tip.

FiberChek probe WIFI connection

1 Turn on the microscope.
2 Enable the WIFI connection on the microscope.
3 On the unit, press the H
4 Touch Connectivity > Wireless.
