Replacing a CFP2 transceiver module
1.
Wear an ESD wrist strap and make sure it makes good skin contact and is reliably grounded.
For more information, see "Attaching an ESD wrist strap."
2.
Remove the optical fibers from the module and pivot down the handle so that the handle is
parallel with the module body.
3.
Hold the handle to pull the module out.
To avoid damaging the handle, do not use excessive force.
4.
Insert dust plugs into the transceiver module ports and put the transceiver module in its
package.
5.
Install a new CFP2 transceiver module. For the installation procedure, see "Installing a CFP2
transceiver module."

Replacing an E1 cable
1.
Wear an ESD wrist strap and make sure it makes good skin contact and is reliably grounded.

Use a screwdriver to loosen the screws on the connector of the E1 cable.
