Scanning the PSP
In order not to mix up X-ray images, only
scan the X-ray images from the selected
patient.
Place the barrier envelope with the PSP cen-
trally and straight onto the input unit. The
opened side of the barrier envelope faces
down, the inactive side of the PSP faces the
operator.
The feeder mechanism moves forward automati-
cally and takes hold of the barrier envelope with
PSP.
Slide the PSP out of its barrier envelope down-
wards into the device until the PSP is automati-
cally drawn in.
The barrier envelope is held in place by the
feeder mechanism and is not transported into the
unit.
Scanning progress is displayed on the touch
screen. The image data is automatically saved to
the memory card.
The touch screen only shows a preview
as an initial impression of the X-ray image.
For purposes of diagnosis, the X-ray
image must be viewed on a diagnostic
monitor.
After it has been scanned, the PSP is erased and
drops into the collection tray.
