Scanning the PSP

In order not to mix up X-ray images, only
scan the X-ray images from the selected
patient.
Place the barrier envelope with the PSP cen-
trally and straight onto the input unit. The
opened side of the barrier envelope faces
down, the inactive side of the PSP faces the
operator.
The feeder mechanism moves forward automati-
cally and takes hold of the barrier envelope with
PSP.
Slide the PSP out of its barrier envelope down-
wards into the device until the PSP is automati-
cally drawn in.
The barrier envelope is held in place by the
feeder mechanism and is not transported into the
unit.
Scanning progress is displayed on the touch
screen. The image data is automatically transmit-
ted to the imaging software.
After it has been scanned, the PSP is erased and
drops into the collection tray.
Save the X-ray image.
Remove the empty barrier envelope.

Remove the PSP and prepare it for recording
another X-ray image.

Scanning image data via the
touch screen on the unit
Starting the phophor storage plate scanner
No PC connection is needed for scanning the
image data via the touch screen. The image data
is stored locally on the memory card. In order to
transfer the image data to the imaging software,
the unit must be connected to a computer.
There are two options for scanning via the touch
screen:
Scan:
Before scanning the image data, the
patient data and exposure settings of
the image are acquired and then saved
with the image data.
If no patient data and exposure set-
tings of the image are entered, the
image is saved to a folder with date
and time.
Quick scan:
The image data is saved to a folder
with the date and time and no addi-
tional information.
Use Help on the touch screen for further
information on operating the unit via the
touch screen.
