3. LASER SAFETY INFORMATION

SET is classified as the following class of Laser Product and LED Product
according to IEC Standard Publication 60825-1 Amd. 2: 2001 and United States
Government Code of Federal Regulation FDA CDRH 21CFR Part 1040.10 and
1040.11 (Complies with FDA performance standards for laser products except for
deviations pursuant to Laser Notice No.50, dated July 26, 2001.)

• EDM device in objective lens: Class 3 Laser Product (Class 1 Laser Product
when prism or reflective sheet is selected in Config mode as target)
• Guide light (optional function): Class 1 LED Product
SET1130R/2130R/3130R/4130R
• EDM device in objective lens: Class 2 Laser Product (Class 1 Laser Product
when prism or reflective sheet is selected in Config mode as target)
• Guide light (optional function): Class 1 LED Product
• EDM device is classified as Class 3R Laser Product (SET 1130R3/2130R3/
3130R3/4130R3)/ Class 2 Laser Product (SET1130R/2130R/3130R/4130R)
when reflectorless measurement is selected. When the prism or reflective sheet
is selected in Config mode as target, the output is equivalent to the safer class
1.
