3.7.3 Attaching Hydraulic Center-Link: M1240 Windrowers

To attach an R85 header to a windrower, follow these steps:
DANGER
To avoid bodily injury or death from unexpected startup of the machine, always stop the engine and remove
the key from the ignition before leaving the operator's seat for any reason.
1. For hydraulic center-link without self-alignment:
Relocate pin (A) in frame linkage as required to
raise the center-link (B) until the hook is above the
attachment pin on the header.
IMPORTANT:
If the center-link is too low, it may contact the
header as the windrower approaches the header
for hookup.
2. Remove hairpin (B) from clevis pin (A) and remove pin
from header boot (C) on both sides of header.
CAUTION
Check to be sure all bystanders have cleared the area.
3. Start engine.
