Figure 27. Two Channels with Ultrasound Running Screen
2
Monitor the runtime clock to determine how long the channel has delivered ultrasound therapy
The runtime is shown as Hours:Minutes:Seconds Time segments not yet reached are dimmed In the example below, ultrasound therapy has
been running for 23 minutes and 47 seconds (see Figure 28)
Figure 28. Ultrasound Paused/Ready Screen
Note: The runtime information is saved for the channel, not for the device connected If the ultrasound therapy is stopped and restarted, the
timer will resume when the ultrasound therapy is started again If the device cables are disconnected (eg, patient transport) and re-connected
the channel timer will resume when ultrasound therapy is started again It is strongly recommended that devices be reconnected to the same
channel they started on to ensure the total runtime displayed for the channel reflects the total runtime for the device
Note: During normal use, ultrasound therapy may cause a temperature rise in the treatment zone There are temperature sensors in the
EKOS Device The Control Unit monitors the device temperature and optimizes the output power to the treatment area

To stop or pause the ultrasound, press the Stop button
When the Stop button is pressed, the ready to start instruction is displayed indicating the total elapsed runtime for the ultrasound therapy
(see Figure 29)
