9. Remove all DIMMs from the cache module for use within the replacement cache
module.
NOTE: For ease in pressing down on the DIMM retaining clips, use the eraser end of a
pencil or a small screwdriver.
a. Press down on the DIMM retaining clips 3 at both ends of the DIMM 1
being removed (see Figure 3–6).

b. Gently remove the DIMM from the DIMM slot 2 and place the DIMM in an
antistatic bag or on a grounded antistatic mat.
c. Repeat step a and step b for each DIMM.
