10.3 - Wiring Instructions

10.3.1 - Connecting the Power Supply

The power supply cable is connected to the back of the device through a 6-pin power input-
output connector (CAB000419 or CAB000432). When connecting the Y724 to a Power Source use
the following guidelines:
Plug the power cable into the DC6-36V connector. The device will operate between 6V
§
and 36V DC; however, the lower the voltage the higher the current. The power source
should be clean and (preferably) connected directly from the battery or the power bus.
The supplied fuses MUST be used. Failure to protect the system with the correct value
§
fuse may lead to the device's warranty being voided.
The 3AMP fuse must be installed as close as possible to the power source on the Yellow
§
Ignition wire on CAB000419 or CAB000432.
The 15AMP fuse must be installed as close as possible to the source on the Red (+12V)
§
wire on CAB000419 or CAB000432.
