Wiring Instructions

Connecting the Power Supply

The power supply cable is connected to the back of the device through a 10-pin power input-
output connector (CAB000441). When connecting the Y62DC to a Power Source use the
following guidelines:
Plug the power cable into the DC6-36V connector. The device will operate between 6 and
§
36 volts DC; however, the lower the voltage the higher the current. The power source
should be clean and (preferably) connected directly from the battery or the power bus.
The supplied fuses MUST be used. Failure to protect the system with the correct value
§
fuse may lead to the device's warranty being voided.
The 1AMP fuse must be installed as close as possible to the power source on the Yellow
§
Ignition wire on CAB000441.
The 15AMP fuse must be installed as close as possible to the source on the Red (+12V)
§
wire on CAB000441.
GROUND
Connect to the negative terminal of the battery, -12V. Grounds are typically
(GND)
established in the fuse panel.
IGNITION
Connect to the vehicle ignition using a +12V switched signal to activate the
(IGN)
device. Ensure that the provided 1 AMP fuse is used. Ignition can be obtained
from the ignition solenoid post.
Connect to the positive terminal of the battery, +12v. Ensure that the
POSITIVE
(VCC)
provided 15 AMP inline fuse is used. +12V can be obtained from the battery
solenoid post, or the cables that connect directly to the battery from the fuse
panel.
