Function Code 8: Unmake FMR Tape

Function Code
rewrites the cartridge memory on the tape. This converts the cartridge into a valid
scratch (blank) data cartridge.

off and then on again, or reboot the drive by pressing and holding the
Unload Button for 10 seconds.
