Unit Name field
The field contains the name used as the "from" information when the switcher

e-mails notification of its failed or repaired status. This name field can be changed to any
valid name, up to 24 alphanumeric characters.

DHCP radio buttons
The radio button directs the switcher to ignore any entered IP addresses and to

obtain its IP address from a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server (if the
network is DHCP capable). The

IP Address field
The field contains the IP address of the connected switcher. This value is

Valid IP addresses consist of four 1-, 2-, or 3-digit numeric octets separated by dots
(periods). Each field can be numbered from 000 through 255. Leading zeroes, up to 3 digits
total per field, are optional. Values of 256 and above are invalid.
The factory-installed default address is 192.168.254.254, but if this conflicts with other
equipment, you should ask your network administrator for a new, valid address.
NOTE: IP address changes can cause conflicts with other equipment. Only local system
administrators should change IP addresses.
Gateway IP Address field
The

used if the switcher and the mail server are not on the same subnet.
The gateway IP address has the same validity rules as the system IP address.
Subnet Mask field
The field is used to determine whether the switcher is on the same subnet
