Vehicle Speed Sensor(VSS) Circuit Malfunction
DESCRIPTION
The vehicle speed sensor outputs a pulse signal while the vehicle is driven.
ECU checks whether the pulse signal is present.
TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
DTC detection condition
Normal Operation
a. The vehicle speed sensor outputs a pulse signal
while the vehicle is driven.
b. ECU checks whether the pulse signal is present.
Normal Operation
a. Closed throttle position switch: OFF
b. Engine speed is 3,000 rpm or more.
c. Engine load is 70% or more.
Malfunction
a. Sensor output voltage has not changed (no pulse
signal is input) for 4 sec.
