Camshaft Position Sensor(TDC) Circuit Malfunction
DESCRIPTION
The Camshaft Position sensor(TDC) senses the Top Dead Center (TDC) point of the #1
cylinder in the compression stroke. The TDC sensor signal allows the ECU to determine
when to operate the fuel injectors.
TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
DTC detection condition
Normal Operation
a. When the engine is running, the Camshaft Position
sensor outputs a pulse signal.
b. ECU checks whether the pulse signal is input.
Malfunction
a. Normal signal pattern has not been input for cylinder
identification from the TDC sensor signal for 4 sec.
