23. SHUTDOWN CONTROL
The power switch of the UP-5900 is used to switch between terminal
ON state and stand-by state.
When starting the terminal, the power switch should be set to ON.
When the power switch is set to the stand-by mode, the power unit is
automatically terminated. By holding HOP1 pin of PSC by the software
(PHOLD =1), the power unit does not stop, but keeps ON until the soft-
ware cancels holding.
If shutdown control cannot be made by the above software, turn ON the
shutdown switch on the side to forcibly cancel the stand-by mode.
When, however, the power switch is ON, though the shutdown switch is
turned ON, the power unit will ignore it and will not stop.

power is shut down.
PHOLD="1" Though Power Switch is at OFF position, the
power is kept on.
PHOLD, Default is "0." To inhibit manual power OFF opera-
tion of Power Switch after POWER ON, set to "1."
When it is set to "0," the power can be turned off by manual
operation of Power Switch.
