Connect the inlet fitting on the regulator tee to the output fitting on the Desiccant Tower
using the tubing a nuts and a ferrule. Make sure the tube is inserted all the way into the
fitting on the Desiccant Tower before tightening the knurled nut.

If there are no additional instruments to be connected skip to step 17. If there are additional
instruments to be connected, repeat steps 14 - 16 for each instrument.

Apply a thin coating of Vacuum grease to two compression ferrules.

Cut a piece of tubing to connect the regulator tee on the previous instrument to the regulator
tee on the next instrument.
16.
Connect the previous Carrier Gas regulator tee to the next Carrier Gas regulator tee using
two nuts and ferrules.
17.
Using the plug removed in step one, cap the open port on the last regulator tee assembly.
Connecting the Compressed Air Supply
A supply of clean, dry compressed air is required for the Chamber humidity as test gas. The compressed air
supply must meet the requirements for pressure, flow and purity as stated in Chapter 10. See Appendix A
"Site Preparation" for additional information. A local compressed air pressure regulator (not supplied) is
required for each instrument.
The compressed air inlet on the instrument back panel has a1/4-18 NPT quick disconnect fitting installed at
the factory. A mating 1/4-18 NPT quick disconnect fitting is supplied with the instrument. A 1/4-18 NPT to
1/4-19 BSPP adapter is also supplied with the instrument.
Connecting the Test Gas Water Supply
A supply of water is needed to generate Relative Humidity in the Test Chamber. Standard distilled water
can be used For Test Gas RH generation. The Test Gas Water Reservoir is a separate device located
outside of the instrument. The reservoir capacity is approximately 5 Gallons (19 Liters).
The external reservoir, water supply line and filter are provided with the instrument.
Follow these steps to connect the Test Gas Water supply line:
