14.1.3 Setting guidelines
There are two settings related to the IEC 61850–8–1 protocol:
Operation User can set IEC 61850 communication to Enabled or Disabled .
GOOSE has to be set to the Ethernet link where GOOSE traffic shall be send and received.
14.2 DNP3 protocol
DNP3 (Distributed Network Protocol) is a set of communications protocols used to communicate
data between components in process automation systems. For a detailed description of the DNP3
protocol, see the DNP3 Communication protocol manual.
