8.2
Diagnostics
The system is equipped with a diagnostic test which checks it for proper
operation.
8.2.1
Self test at power on
The terminal unit performs the ROM sum test and RAM read and write test when
turned on. If the test results are normal the equipment goes into standby. If error
is found you cannot transmit.
8.2.2
Testing the terminal unit through the keyboard, displaying
program version no.
This test can only be initiated from the main terminal and it must be idle
condition to execute the test.
1. Press the [F7] key to display the Options menu.
2. Press the [7] key ([6] key if FELCOM functions as an EGC receiver) to
display the Test menu.
3. Press the [3] key to choose Diagnostic Test.
4. Yes is selected; press the [Enter] key to start the test. The message "Now
testing" (flashing) appears during the testing.
