4.12.5 Auto EQ

4.12.6 Fast Charge SOC Limit

The charger can be configured to allow fast charging of batteries only up to a fixed percentage.

This percentage of battery state of charge is calculated when the battery is first connected to

the charger and is updated as the charging progresses. If a battery is charged up to this limit

and is not scheduled to full charge or equalize, the charging is stopped. If the charger is

configured for full charging or equalizing during this period, charging will proceed past this SOC

limit as the charger enters the full charge or equalization state.

This fast charge limit is also used in conjunction with the BMID programmed fast charge limit.

The lower of these two parameters are used to terminate a fast charge session. This parameter

can be set to 100% to allow only the BMID SOC limit to be the limiting point. If backup battery

(or ultra-cap) power is lost, this parameter will need to be review and/or updated, as it will be set

to a default value in this case.

Press ENTER again to accept the selection made.

Press CLEAR to retain the original value

Setting the Fast Charge SOC Limit

From the "Fast Charge SOC Limit" screen press <enter> to display the active Fast Charge SOC

Limit setting. Press <enter> again and the adjustable parameter will flash. Use the <up> and

<down> buttons to adjust the SOC limit. Once the desired limit is displayed, press <enter> to

store the edited value and the display will stop flashing. Press <clear> to exit.
