The FM-8/FM-9 can be used to capture images and perform machine vision, in addition to
decoding barcodes. This can be very helpful in clinical analyzers and other fixed mount
applications where there is a need to scan barcodes and/or identify objects. This chapter
describes some of the functions that are related to image capturing.

Illumination Brightness

Use the command LEDSPWR to set the Illumination (LEDs Power) between 'Off' and 100% with
a value between 0 (=Off) and 3 (=100%).
Be aware that this setting also is in place when scanning bar codes, when EXPMODE is set to 0.
All illumination brightness menu command barcodes are included below. Default = 3 (High)
Note: In order to have a continuously visible aimer when LEDSPWR is set to 0, use AIMMODE
2 instead of the default value of 1.
