Prefixes

The Prefix character(s) is/are user-definable data characters that can be sent before the scanned
data. To enable or disable prefixes, scan the appropriate code below. Default = disabled.
Enable
To set all prefix parameters to their default values, use the following code:

Prefix Block String

Use the command PREBLOK in combination with two (or more) hexadecimal digits to define
a specific ASCII character (or set of characters) as Prefix or by scanning the barcode below
and then set the ASCII character by scanning the digit codes and the SAVE barcode in
Appendix B
. Please contact JADAK if assistance is needed.
Look at the ASCII conversion chart in
ASCII characters. For instance, if all the scanned barcodes need to have an "A" added to
them in front of the data string, enable Prefixes and send the command PREBLOK 41.
It's also possible to program multiple prefixes like PREBLOK 4229; this will add "B)" to a
code. Default Prefix Block= Carriage Return (hex: 0D ).

To clear all prefixes, use the following code:
