The upper packing foam covering the switch contains the following components:
•
Rail kit
•
Cabling guide brackets
•
Screw kit
•
Grounding kit
•
Console cable
•
Power cables
•
Getting Started Short Guide - Mellanox Solution
•
CD with documentation and software utilities fastened on top of the Vantage 8500 switch
chassis wrapped in an antistatic bag.
3. Remove all the accessories listed above and the packing foam on top of the chassis.
4. Lift the switch chassis from the pallet and place it on a flat surface.
Due to the weight of the chassis, it is recommended that a sufficient number people with the proper
equipment perform this operation.
CAUTION: Do NOT use the power supply handles for lifting, carrying, or moving the
unit.
This will damage the handles. When lifting the unit, take extra caution not to damage
power supply handles located at the bottom of the unit.
Use safe lifting procedures when moving the unit to avoid personal injury.
