4. Replace with a new sCTRL board, slide in and tighten the screws, and complete the cable con-
nections. Then, check the LED indicators to verify correct operation.

Replacing Fan Units (sFUs)
The Vantage 8500 chassis includes the sFU-4 and sFU-8E fan units, which are pre assembled at
the factory. Both sFUs are hot swappable.
At system startup, the fan speed is set to turbo mode until adequate temperature is reached. Fan
speed is then set to normal mode.
When replacing one of the sFUs, the other takes over and changes to Turbo Speed mode to ensure
proper system ventilation.
The extracted sFU can be replaced within 2 minutes without disconnecting the
switch from power.
