The following types of LED indicators are located on a Vantage 8500 fabric board (up to 4 boards
per chassis):

Each pair of LEDs indicates the state of a single external port. The two LEDs in each
pair are:
•
Green –
ON
physical link is up; link detected on the specific port
–
OFF
no link detected on the specific port
–
Blinking – error on the XAUI I/F
•
Amber –
Blinking – link activity on the specific port (frame sent/received)
OFF – no link activity on the specific port (frame sent/received)
ON – all board voltage levels are operating normally
OFF – problem in the power supply to the board
ON – line board is ready
OFF – line board is not ready
Blinking – line board is initializing
General purpose LED for physical detection of the module
